So proud to share these beautiful images from one of my favourite couples. When @morganfargo and @benkelvin_ first came to me, the venue was set and Ben’s dad had already recommended a caterer he loved. From there, once we’d refined the budget and shaped their vision, it became my job to curate a team of suppliers who could bring their day to life exactly as they imagined.

Together, we created the most personal, gloriously chic Jewish wedding by a lakeside in rainy Wiltshire. With relentless rain and fierce winds, we battled marquee poles and watched bell tents try to take flight — yet somehow, through all the chaos, Imogen captured a day that feels serene, joy-filled and effortlessly stylish.

A wedding planner’s dream: full of heart, full of beauty, and full of logistical twists and turns that made it utterly unforgettable. ✨

Last night I visited the opening of the new @bramleyproducts shop in Bath! It was a gorgeous evening with great friends! I took along with me @gailie71 and you can see two of her gorgeous chairs in the shop when you visit! Bramley’s product smell Devine so as you can imagine the scent in the shop was heavenly. Canapés served by @beckfordcanteen and drink from @beckfordbottleshop. It was the launch evening for Shires Yard, what was Milsom Place. With some lovely new restaurants and shops it felt like a buzzing new space for BRAMLEY to sit into! I am so proud of my friend @chloebramleyproducts and what she has created! Her company always surprises. I wish them the best of luck in Bath. They have some gorgeous pressies for Christmas, well worth the visit!

Autumn in October can still feel light and summery but also embrace the seasonal changes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s a busy time right now finishing off weddings for the end of August & September and then finalising details for a wedding at @stgileshouseweddings in December! But also we are full on with planning for next year. This week I’m working on 3 designs look books for 3 gorgeous summer weddings, I did a site visit yesterday to a stunning private Dorset home and so planning begins for that one, then I’ve got 3 proposals to send out to potential clients all of which I would love to plan their wedding’s as each couple has something unique and perfectly in line with my style.

Thought I would show you an inspiration board I did for @hambledonmarquees last year for their launch lunch and evening event. I loved this design! And am still obsessed with the peaches, greens, buttery yellows and ochre oranges that pulled this together so perfectly for a late summer party.

It was a glorious August and the colours I wanted to use were based on seasonal flowers settling into late summer. I’ve not really shared them till now as I didn’t feel like the over all finished look reflected my design. It still looked great.
I pulled together the furniture and the tableware. The stationery by @copperleafdesign_ beautifully fitted my colour palette.

@doggartandsquash dished up the most incredible lunch to some wonderful local and further a field suppliers in our industry. @hambledonmarquees created an event that not only showcased their gorgeous marquee but bought suppliers together during a busy season to connect and reflect on our work that year.

We arrived and were asked if we would like a drink? After a long drive it was exactly what I needed. Then after an incredible tour of the house we sat for a meeting in the boat room and Tashana offered us a glass of wine! Very welcome. For pure hospitality Coombe End gets it right! You immediately feel like you’re the most important people there! She evens leaves her phone behind as she guides us through the house. Every question answered and if there’s any doubt the answers in your inbox once you’ve got back to your desk!

As for the interior design……… speechless.. timeless elegance personified.. it’s perfection! I’d longed to see this venue and it stood up to everything I expected and more!

Hello! as I sat watching my daughter play netball in the sun today I thought how nice it was to take a breath at this crazy time of year.

January till the season begins is all about pre planning and preparation for this season and next year. And with a full diary this year (maybe room for a winter wedding) it’s been a busy start to the year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What is it that I’m doing?
• supplier sourcing for wedding this year and next.
• finalising plans for stationery, florals, and furniture.
• writing up lighting and sound specs for production companies
• sourcing decorative and exciting lighting for clients after parties
• putting the final peices together for designs
• venue searching for clients in 2026
• gathering quotes from suppliers for 2026
• writing up event plans for the wedding and events this year.
• trying to find time to work on my business, learn new things and try and work on my health.
This final one has to be a focus for me this year as last year’s leg issues can’t happen again. And I need to get fit and healthy for a busy year… a focus on walking and getting fit will come now the evenings are longer.

• don’t forget furniture if your venue doesn’t come with lounge areas, this can create interesting space for guest to relax.
• heating, it sounds simple but don’t forget to ask how the venue is heated
• drinks reception entertainment - it’s worth thinking about this certainly if you don’t have a huge amount of space, maybe save this money for dancing later so your guests can talk and catch up before the fluid flows to much.
• decoration - give a good amount of your budget to the florist so they can create cosy winter displays that invite your guests into rooms..
• extra space - don’t be afraid of a marquee in winter if you need the extra space.. they can be as cosy as any house

Heckfield is incredible, it’s whole ethos drawing produce from it’s onsite home farm and putting soil health and nature at the for front of their menu. With 46 bedrooms, 2 restaurant spaces, a dedicated events space seating 120 and space for a marquee outside overlooking the Italian terrace and the house itself, this hotel lends itself for a stunning weekend destination wedding in the UK with exclusive hire.

Farleigh House site visit - even on a misty day this places outside spaces shine.

Yesterday I was invited to visit this gorgeous venue outside Bath. One that has been on my list for a while. The home of Bath Rugby club this venue is a rugby fans dream. Even if you’re not that bothered by the egg shaped ball game you’ll love it here.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A huge marquee lawn over looks the rugby posts and pitches, there is plenty of options for your outside ceremony or a church down the road. Inside the grand hall is a perfect space if you’re looking for a weather proof ceremony option.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The hall also offers up a great dining space for smaller numbers in an intimate setting for your wedding breakfast. The hall then becomes your after hours night club with licensed bar and comfy sofas for tired danced out legs.

There is no accommodation onsite but Bath is 15 minutes down the road with excellent options for your guests in the local area as well.

Quiet luxury - what is it? And why is this a trend that won’t go away?

If you google the definition, QL is a lifestyle and fashion trend that emphasizes refined consumption and understated elegance, without overt displays of wealth. It’s also known as old money aesthetic or silent luxury.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To me quiet luxury is allowing design to stand out, not filling a space full of items that show off but letting single statements sing. Like this champagne tower, it sits alone in the centre of the room glistening as the light catches the fabric and glass, the glasses are great quality and the table cloth feels sumptuous but it speaks volumes in terms of not over crowding it and celebrating a moment at your wedding like pouring champagne into the glasses to kick off the party..
It emulates times gone by and stories to hand down to generations to come. I imagine our grandmothers in her 20’s at shooting parties in the country kicking off her gum boots and slipping into something for the evening… drinking champagne by a roaring fire.

I can’t see the end of this aesthetic just yet and in ways I think we’ll see more of it to come for some time yet with times of crisis when it’s not so cool to brag about wealth.

Quiet luxury - what is it? And why is this a trend that won’t go away?

If you google the definition, QL is a lifestyle and fashion trend that emphasizes refined consumption and understated elegance, without overt displays of wealth. It’s also known as old money aesthetic or silent luxury.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To me quiet luxury is allowing design to stand out, not filling a space full of items that show off but letting single statements sing. Like this champagne tower, it sits alone in the centre of the room glistening as the light catches the fabric and glass, the glasses are great quality and the table cloth feels sumptuous but it speaks volumes in terms of not over crowding it and celebrating a moment at your wedding like pouring champagne into the glasses to kick off the party..
It emulates times gone by and stories to hand down to generations to come. I imagine our grandmothers in her 20’s at shooting parties in the country kicking off her gum boots and slipping into something for the evening… drinking champagne by a roaring fire.

I can’t see the end of this aesthetic just yet and in ways I think we’ll see more of it to come for some time yet with times of crisis when it’s not so cool to brag about wealth.

Last year we went all autumn, this year as we were a month later I wanted to push ever so slightly closer to Christmas and find a happy balance between festive and the changing season with an armful of luxury.. this look works for a wedding or a significant celebration, birthday party or product launch. The green cloth sets the scene whilst candle light set the atmosphere along side lighting by @cinemattag.
It’s always a pleasure working with @theluxecollectionuk as they have a look for all seasons and tastes and you can mix and match all their products to create the perfect balanced look for your event.
Finished of with epic stationery by @emmabradstreetpaperandpress and yummy canapés by @redherringevents. I did the flowers on the tables as I wanted a stripped back simple look that tied in the candles, stationery and the room!
Furniture from the ever wonderful @houseoffurncollection meant even the cushions matched! @hambledonmarquees popped up their gorgeous marquee for those couples looking to have larger numbers than 120. @jamesherkes played DJ for the day shaking the house with his epic tunes. Mocktails served up by the brill @cartailsandevents. And I took some time to video a few of the rooms for you to see.. whilst @camillaarnholdphotography took official pictures which I can’t wait to show you!

Happy Monday all. I hope you’re having a great October so far. Here’s a special moment from this July.

To bring a touch of the grooms Scottish heritage we had a piper and drummer lead the wedding party from cocktail hour to the after party with Scotland the Brave.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The pipes and drum started their procession from the fountain with no one knowing it was happening. It was a moving moment hearing the pipes sing out over the gardens on a warm summers evening.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once into the basement at @stgileshouseweddings they joined the DJ @jamesherkes and played straight into AC/DC “It’s a long way to the top” this created a perfect flow from one space to the next..
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Always remember that the flow of your event or wedding is key, giving your guests the nod that it’s time to move on to the next section in a fun and entertaining way is perfect to keep it flowing smoothly..

1 month. Huge congratulations to Sophie & Ed. Who got married at home in Hampshire. A short walk from the church back to the house for reception drinks, then a lovely parkland walk to the marquee for a delicious paella by @lottie_brook.

This wedding had guests from all over the world come together to celebrate L & L, and was anything but boring or stiff! With canapés by the lake before sitting down to a delicious meal by @queenandwhippet then serious dancing and I mean non stop dancing, that dance floor was full to @thedeloreons. All set next to this stunning lake setting of @countrysideeventswiltshire all with glorious 2022 sunshine and photographer beautifully by @pebbleandafish house in a clear span tent by @abbasmarquees1.

We added touches from Lexis boating childhood and nods to Lucas’s kiwi routes keeping it fun and light throughout.. a basket of towels by the lake incase anyone decided to strip off for a dip..

Seasonal weddings!

Our aim for this shoot was to showcase a number of local suppliers to Boconnoc and the South West. Highlighting those that are choosing to tread lighter on our planet and are far more environmentally conscious of our foot print when producing weddings and events in this country.

We wanted to share a journey towards a more sustainable future for the weddings and events at Boconnoc and those that we, as suppliers create for couples elsewhere. By looking at UK dress makers using consciously sourced fabrics milled and produced here in the UK to flowers grown and seasonal at the time of the event rather than high milage shipped flower from outside the UK and it goes without saying that Miranda Hackett chose to use only foam and plastic free techniques when designer the flowers to this event.

💡Re-create you first date - Get back to the beginning of your story, were the sparks first ignited. Reminisce on those few first dates of small talk and sweaty palms.
💡Head to the movies - An old classic but worth it. Dinner and a movie a perfect excuse to get of the sofa and head out. Try a bougie theatre, one that serves alcohol and nice snacks to elevate the whole experience.
💡Have a staycation - Switch off the internet, cook up a feast that doesn't take much to serve up, light some candles and re connect with conversation, there is nothing more romantic than a sexy night talking to your fav.

Venue Shoutout - Forde Abbey. I had the pleasure working here last year on an incredibly hot early September day.

Hint 💡 make sure your timings work so that you gather your guests by the fountain before sunset! The light is incredible and the picture opportunities are endless.

This truly stunning venue is home to the Mortlake tapestries, woven from the internationally famous Raphael cartoons, now housed in the V&A, the Abbey has a rich and varied history spanning 900 years. Through the centuries, it has played host to Cistercian monks at prayer, 19th-century philosophers and politicians, by misfortune implicated in the Monmouth Rebellion and more recently, the backdrop to the Hollywood adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s ‘Far From the Madding Crowd,’ starring Carey Mulligan, Michael Sheen and Tom Sturridge.

Set in 30 acres of incredible gardens and home to the highest powered fountain in the country, the award-winning gardens include topiary-lined vistas, colourful herbaceous borders, an arboretum, and a bog garden, which together with swathes of early Spring bulbs and camellias provide all year-round interest. With a huge amount of photo opportunities this venue is the most perfect summer garden wedding location.
